Filippo Ganna won the national time trial championship. The Ineos Grenadiers rider completed the 28 km course from Morsano al Tagliamento to San Vito al Tagliamento in 30'35".

Behind him were Baroncini, 46" behind, and Cattaneo , 57". Closing the top 5 were Sobrero and Frigo, more than a minute and a half behind.

For Ganna, this is the 4th consecutive title in the specialty and the 6th overall, also considering the two victories in 2019 and 2020.
