The Frenchman makes a mockery of the super favorites, eighth Bettiol
Benoit Cosnefroy (Ag2r) won the eleventh edition of the Grand Prix de Québec , a World Tour race back after two years of stoppage due to the pandemic.
At the end of the race, 201.6 km long and covered entirely on the city circuit which included, for sixteen times, the short climb of the Côte des Glacis, the French rider attacked at -2 from the finish ahead of Michael Matthews (Bike Exchange ) and Biniam Girmay (Intermarché).
Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) only fourth, first of the Italians is Alberto Bettiol (Ef), eighth.
Sunday 11 September will be repeated again in Canada with the Grand Prix de Montréal , still on the circuit, for a total of 221 km.
