Team Jayco-AlUla announced its lineup for the 2025 Tour de France on Monday, presenting a team with two clear objectives: the general classification with Ben O'Connor and the sprints with Dylan Groenewegen, the latter already a six-time stage winner at the Grande Boucle.

The Australian team will rely heavily on their captain O'Connor for a top five finish in the general classification, while with Groenewegen they will be chasing stage wins and the first yellow jersey in Lille.

Among the most interesting new additions is the presence of Luke Plapp, making his Tour debut after taking his first Grand Tour victory at the Giro d'Italia in May. Eddie Dunbar will also make his debut at the French race, with the task of supporting O'Connor in the mountains.

The team is completed by Mauro Schmid, fresh winner of the double Swiss national title (road and time trial), the experienced Australian champion Luke Durbridge in his eleventh participation, and the duo Luka Mezgec-Elmar Reinders for Groenewegen's sprint train.

The Australian captain, who has already finished fourth at the Tour in 2021, commented: 'We have a really versatile team and I have shown that I can perform well in the Grand Tours. I will give everything to get back into the top five, a result I have already achieved in all three Grand Tours.'

O'Connor also analysed the route: 'It's a race of two halves. We have northern France with very explosive stages, then from stage 10 onwards we have 30-60 minute climbs. There are some really big cols, that's where I'll enjoy the most. Those are the kind of mountain stages I prefer.'
