Mads Pedersen wins the sixteenth stage of the Vuelta da Sanlúcar de Barrameda to Tomares of 189.4 km. The Dane precedes Pascal Ackermann and Denny Van Poppel . It all happens in the final, Evenepoel punches, but he does it within three kilometers of the conclusion and Roglic tries a stretch surprising all the other men in the standings, taking with him Pedersen, Ackermann, Van Poppel and Wright himself. Just in the last meters, however, the Slovenian falls a few meters from the finish and nullifies his action, also remedying several bruises.
