Marc Soler wins the fifth stage of La Vuelta da Irún in Bilbao of 187.2 km. Great action by the Spanish rider, protagonist of the attack of the day. The UAE Team Emirates rider recovers Jake Stewart in the final and flies alone to the finish line. Second place for Daryl Impey , while in third place comes Fred Wright. Rudy Molard is in fourth place and is the new leader of the general classification.

The big group, with Primoz Roglic in the lead, gives way to the attack and the Slovenian gives up the red leader's jersey.
