Energy products perform the important function of quickly supplying energy to our body through the metabolism of simple carbohydrates (glucose and fructose) and complex (maltodextrin and Vitargo).

When practicing physical activity in endurance and endurance sports, the energy requirement is much higher than what we can obtain by ingesting these products. This is good, as we hardly risk going into hyperglycemia which would lead to the natural release of the hormone insulin that would send us into reactive hypoglycemia.
