Of course, it's just a coincidence and a series of unfortunate events, but Tadej Pogacar certainly doesn't have a good relationship with the eleventh stage of the Tour de France.

In his six participations in the most prestigious race in the world, the Slovenian has suffered bad days or an accident four times, like the one that occurred today, on the eleventh day.

In 2021 , the year of his second success, the world champion was dropped by Vingegaard on the second ascent of Mount Ventoux , but still managed to come back on the final descent and win the Tour by a landslide.

In 2022, he suffered the worst crisis of his career, with his final collapse on the Col du Granon , the scene of his iconic phrase to the team car: " I'm gone, I'm dead ."

In 2024 he was beaten by Vingegaard in a two-man sprint at Le Lioran , in an edition that was nevertheless dominated far and wide by the Slovenian.

Finally, coming to 2025 , today's crash occurred 4.5 km from the finish, after a contact with Johannessen's wheel. Obviously, we hope the crash didn't cause any particular problems for Pogacar and that he can be back to full fitness tomorrow on the Hautacam.
