The 2025 Tour de France starts on Saturday 5 July. Three weeks of racing that will open with a probable sprint in Lille. For the rest, at least six stages are planned for the sprinters, six in the high mountains, seven intermediate stages and five uphill finishes plus two time trials, one of which will be all uphill in the Pyrenees.

Watch out for stage 7 with the finish at the Mur de Bretagne, stage 10 with the finish at Le Mont Dore, stage 12 with the climb of Hautacam, stage 14 with the finish at altitude at Super Bagneres, and then, in the final week, the finishes at Mont Ventoux (stage 16), the Col de la Loze (stage 18), and La Plagne (stage 19).

Closing always on the Champs-Elysées, but with the novelty of the circuit of   Montmartre, to be tackled three times.

Obviously the number one favorite is Tadej Pogacar who is looking for his fourth victory at the Grand Boucle. Jonas Vingegaard will try to spoil the party but also watch out for Remco Evenepoel, third last year.

For the general classification we also mention Primoz Roglic and Florian Lipowitz of Red Bull, Carlos Rodriguez, Enric Mas, Joao Almeida, Matteo Jorgenson and Mattias Skjelmose.

There are the best sprinters in the world: Jonathan Milan, Jasper Philipsen, Tim Merlier and the 2024 green jersey, Biniam Girmay.

There is no shortage of opportunities for stage hunters. Discover the entire start list on our app.
