Tadej Pogacar wins the fourth stage of the Tour de France from Amiens Métropole to Rouen, 174.2 km. The Slovenian sprints ahead of Van der Poel and Vingegaard; the Slovenian thus obtains the hundredth victory of his career.

On the last climb, 5 km from the end, Pogacar attacks and only Vingegaard manages to follow him. On the descent, however, the Dane does not collaborate with the world champion and Van der Poel, Evenepoel, Jorgenson, Almeida and Onley come back.  

Then Evenepol tries an action in the last kilometer, but is immediately caught, as is Jorgenson. Van der Poel launches the sprint, but Pogacar passes him in the last meters, while Vingegaard launches himself in the sprint and obtains a good third place.

Van der Poel remains in the yellow jersey.
