Juan Sebastian Molano (UAE Emirates) won the twenty-first and final stage of the Vuelta di Spagna 2022, the 96.7 km Las Rozas-Madrid, with the final walkway in the capital at the end of which Remco Evenepoel (Quick Step) was able to celebrate success in the Iberian race in which he also won two stages.

The podium of the day was completed by Mads Pedersen and teammate Pascal Ackermann while the final podium of the Vuelta is made up of Evenepoel, Enric Mas (Movistar) second, and Juan Ayuso (UAE Emirates), third.

Points classification won by Mads Pedersen of Trek Segafredo (three stage wins for the Dane), climbers classification to Richard Carapaz (Ineos Grenadiers), also winner of three stages. Ranking of young people who rewards Evenepoel himself, at UAE Emirates the team classification with one of his riders, Marc Soler , awarded as super-combatant.

Before today's start, the whole group's tribute to Alejandro Valverde and Vincenzo Nibali , who have concluded the last great stage race of their career. Both will retire at the end of the season.
