The Dane overtakes Wright and Vermeersch in a sprint

Mads Pedersen (Trek Segafredo)   won the nineteenth stage of the Vuelta, a 138 km circuit with start and finish in Talavera de la Reina and the double climb of Puerto de Piélago.

The Danish rider, in his third success in the Iberian race, beat Fred Wright (Bahrain Victorious) and Gianni Vermeersch (Alpecin) in a sprint.

Quiet day for Remco Evenepoel (Quick Step) who remains leader of the general classification ahead of Enric Mas (Movistar) and Juan Ayuso (Uae Emirates).

Tomorrow the penultimate stage before the arrival in Madrid: five mountain grand prix are scheduled with the finish on the Puerto de Navacerrada after 181 km.
