“Will I do the Giro or the Tour de France in 2023? I made my choice, but we will announce the decision in January”; so, a few weeks ago Remco Evenepoel tried to divert attention to his future plans, probably doing nothing but increase the curiosity of the fans (especially the Italian ones).

Waiting for January, however, a clue could have come from Remco's new teammate at Soudal-Quick-Step, Jan Hirt . A statement that doesn't leave too much room for interpretation: "I'll probably go to the Giro d'Italia to help Remco Evenepoel , who wants to win the Giro after his victory at the Vuelta" declared the 31-year-old Czech in a recent interview on his country's television, as also reports Cyclisme'Actu.

The answer seems to be clear enough, but as of today Jan Hirt may have given us another important clue.
