The stage, completely flat, ended with a dramatic turn of events. Two Arkea riders broke ahead of the bunch sprint, with Milesi remaining alone and managing to maintain a comfortable lead until the finish.

Romet Pajur of Red Bull Bora hansgrohe and Davide Stella of UAE Emirates finished behind him. Milesi is the new leader of the overall standings.
