Primoz Roglic withdraws from the Giro d'Italia . The bad feelings of the morning were confirmed during the race. The Slovenian abandoned the Giro 95 km from the finish line in San Valentino (Brentonico) and, shortly before, had been involved in a fall, together with Carapaz, who then returned to the group. Before the start Roglic had declared: "Yesterday I couldn't even get on the bike, let's see today".

A Giro d'Italia to forget for Roglic, who had difficulty in the dirt stage two Sundays ago, crashed during the reconnaissance of the Pisa time trial and especially in stage 14, the one in which Ciccone also retired.
