The Frenchman will give up short stage races in spring
Romain Gregoire will try his hand at the cobblestone classics starting in 2026: the 2003-born rider has yet to take part in northern races in his career, and one of his goals for next season will be to gain experience in this type of race.
The Frenchman, by his own admission, has zero experience on cobblestones and absolutely wants to try to improve on this type of course as well.
The Groupama FDJ rider will, however, give up short stage races in the first part of the season and this, also from a Fantacycling perspective, could cost him placings and fantasy points.
Instead, the following Ardennes campaign remains confirmed, in which Gregoire has already shown that he can play his cards.
Below is Gregoire's schedule for the first part of 2026:
18.02 Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol
28.02 Faun-Ardèche Classic
01.03 Faun Drome Classic
04.03 Laigueglia Trophy
07.03 White Roads
21.03 Milan-Sanremo
27.03 E3 Saxo Classic
01.04 Dwars door Vlaanderen
05.04 Round of the Flanders
