The Norwegian was immediately taken to hospital
There were moments of apprehension at the end of the sixteenth stage of the Tour de France, with Tobias Johannessen feeling ill and requiring oxygen treatment.
The Norwegian, as explained by the Team Uno-X doctor, suffered stomach problems during the last kilometre of the terrible ascent of Mont Ventoux and, after crossing the finish line, he felt ill and suffered a respiratory crisis .
Johannessen was immediately taken to hospital by ambulance and further information on his health is now awaited.
On the sporting side, the 1999-born rider finished the stage in 28th place, 5'11" behind the winner Paret-Peintre and around 2'30" behind his direct rivals for the top ten.
We'll see if this crisis will have consequences in the next stages and, above all, if - and we hope so - the Norwegian will be able to get back in the saddle tomorrow morning.
