The British climber joins young talents Peace and Corkery in the Dutch team
The Picnic-PostNL team has announced its first three signings for the 2026 season, including British climber James Knox, who joins from Soudal-QuickStep.
Knox, a professional since 2018, has established himself as one of the most reliable climbers in the peloton, boasting nine Grand Tour participations, eight of which he completed. His last appearance was at the 2025 Giro d'Italia, where he finished 19th.
'I chose Picnic-PostNL for their proven track record at the highest level and the opportunity to work with young British talent such as Oscar Onley and Max Poole,' said Knox.
Joining him is fellow countryman Oliver Peace, a 20-year-old from the team's youth program. Peace, who has already demonstrated excellent climbing and time trial skills, is seen as a potential stage racer.
'He will initially have a supporting role, but we will give him every opportunity to develop the endurance and consistency needed in the WorldTour,' explained head coach Rudi Kemna.
The trio is completed by Irishman Dillon Corkery, 26, who already rode as a stagiaire with the team in 2025. A sprint specialist, Corkery has distinguished himself this year with several placings in category 1.1 and 1.Pro races.
These new arrivals compensate for the departures of Romain Bardet (retired), Kevin Vermaercke (moved to UAE) and Tobias Lund Andresen (to Decathlon AG2R).
