The Dutchman wins the Tour of Poland for the fourth consecutive year.

Olav Kooij lived up to expectations and won the first stage of the Tour of Poland, beating Paul Magnier and Jensen Plowright in the sprint.

The Visma Dutchman thus achieved his sixth victory of the season, his fifth in the Polish race, where he earned his first World Tour victory in 2022: "I'm happy to have repaid the team with this victory," said Kooij. "Everyone contributed from the start. We executed our plan well, despite the chaos of the final kilometers. We got a little lost in the chaos, but I managed to get to the front at the right time. This is the fourth consecutive year I've won a stage here. I already had a lot of positive memories of this race, so it's nice to add another."

Today is the second stage of the Tour of Poland, from Hotel Gołębiewski Karpacz to Karpacz, 149.4 km long, with a mountain finish.
