Roglic is the captain, there are also Aleotti and Pellizzari

Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe will be presenting a top-level team at the 2025 Giro d'Italia to support the big favourite Primož Roglič in his quest for a second victory in the Giro d'Italia.

Alongside the Slovenian champion there will be two former winners of the Giro: the Australian Jai Hindley, winner in 2022, and the Colombian Dani Martínez, runner-up in the 2024 edition. Completing the team are the trusted Jan Tratnik, Gianni Moscon, Nico Denz, Giovanni Aleotti and last year's revelation Giulio Pellizzari.

Sports director Rolf Aldag is aware that all eyes will be on Roglič, winner of the 2023 Giro and four-time winner of the Vuelta: ' We know how tough this race will be, which is why we are presenting ourselves with a strong and balanced team. Primož is in great shape and the group around him is well-tested, giving us several tactical options .'

Although Roglič's leadership is clear, the presence of Hindley and Martínez offers the team valuable alternatives in case of unforeseen events. As Hindley himself pointed out: ' In modern cycling it is better to have multiple leaders and numbers at the end. Primož is our captain but the Giro is long and you have to be ready for anything .'

Despite their favourite status, both the team and Roglič are keeping a low profile. The 35-year-old Slovenian joked: ' I have to manage my energy, I'm not young anymore .' But teammate Tratnik has no doubts: ' We don't have to fear anyone, we've worked hard for this goal .'
