Ally Wollaston (FDJ United - SUEZ) wins the first WT race of 2026 by winning the first stage of the Santos Women's Tour Down Under, starting and finishing in Willunga (137.4 km).

Alessia Vigilia ( Uno-X Mobility), breaking away from the 40th km, almost managed a surprise move, being caught only 200 metres from the finish line.

The bunch sprint was a one-two with Wollaston launching the sprint and winning by a wide margin over Nelson (Team Picnic Post NL) and Gerritste (Team SD Worx - Protime).
