The French team conquers Chambery, Le Court Pienaar remains in yellow

Maeva Squiban of UAE won the seventh stage of the Tour de France Femmes, 159 km from Bourg en Bresse to Chambery. This was the Frenchwoman's second consecutive victory.

Behind her, almost a minute behind, was Cedrine Kerbaol, who preceded other protagonists of the day's breakaway, Ruth Edwards and Shirin Van Anrooij.

Not far away was the yellow jersey group: Kimberley Le Court Pienaar had dropped away on the Col du Granier but managed to catch up on her main rivals in the general classification on the descent.

Speaking of the overall standings, Le Court leads Pauline Ferrand Prevot by 26 seconds and Katarzyna Niewiadoma by 30 seconds. Demi Vollering is also close behind, fourth at 31 seconds.

Tomorrow is a mountain stage with a climb to the Col de la Madeleine.
