The Spanish rider takes the second stage with a winning attack 10 km from the finish

Mavi Garcia wins the second stage of the Tour de France Femmes from Brest to Quimper (110 km).

The very undulating stage lent itself to continuous attacks and relaunches, with Squiban, Smulders and Chabbey gaining an advantage over the yellow jersey group but without managing to break away.

At 10 km, the action was halted and Mavi Garcia attempted a solo attack. The Spaniard gained a handful of seconds, held off the final climb, and triumphed. The leading group, which was lacking considerable indecision in the chase, was overtaken by Wiebes , ahead of Le Court Pienaar .

In the top ten are all the best ranked players, such as Vollering, Van der Breggen and Niewiadoma, with Kopecky and Longo Borghini trailing behind.

In the general classification, Le Court Pienaar jumps to the lead and takes the yellow jersey from Vos thanks to the better placings obtained.
