The tour de France awakens badly after Pogacar 's beautiful victory on the Super Planche des Belles Filles. Two riders tested positive at Covid, AG2R's Geoffrey Bouchard and UAE Team Emirates' Vegard Stake Laengen, teammate in the yellow jersey. Waiting for updates, the Tour begins to shake (the thought of a possible positivity of Pogacar would ruin everything), and starts today with the eighth stage from Dole to Lausanne of 186.3 km, perfect for an attack from afar.

A not particularly demanding course, with four mountain grand prix, two of the fourth category and two others of the third category. The arrival will be right on the last GPM, after a climb of 4.8 km at 4.6% on average . Not a particularly hard climb suitable for "finisseurs". Men like Bauke Mollema , Michael Woods , Jakob Fuglsang (who abandoned his ambitions for the general classification after yesterday's stage), Tim Wellens and Warren Barguil , will try to fit into the right breakaway.
