The Irishman from EF Education-EasyPost was rewarded for his courage and constant attacks during the Grande Boucle.
Ben Healy has written an unforgettable page in Irish cycling history by winning the prestigious Super-Combativity award at the 2025 Tour de France. This recognition crowns three weeks of undisputed prowess, during which the EF Education-EasyPost rider lit up the race with constant attacks and a spectacular style of riding.
His triumphant ride included a magnificent victory on stage 6 in Vire Normandie, the yellow jersey, and an epic second place on Mont Ventoux. But it doesn't end there: Healy is set to finish the Tour in ninth place in the general classification, confirming his qualities as an all-round rider.
The award was chosen through a combination of public votes on X (formerly Twitter) and the judgment of a panel of experts. Although Jonas Abrahamsen received more social votes, the panel recognized Healy's perseverance and courage throughout the three weeks.
The Irishman overcame a top-level field that included, in addition to Abrahamsen, Thymen Arensman, Quinn Simmons, Tim Wellens, Michael Storer, Jordan Jegat, and Bruno Armirail. Healy succeeds teammate Richard Carapaz in the list of honors, confirming the offensive nature of the EF Education-EasyPost team in major stage races.
