Isaac Del Toro (UAE Team Emirates) wins the first stage of the UAE Tour, from Madinat Zayed Majlis to Liwa Palace.
The stage, initially 144 km long, was shortened to 118 km due to strong winds.

The day's breakaway consisted of only Dilier , who was easily held at bay by the group.
The Alpecin rider is caught at -30 km and the peloton launches itself towards the sprint.

Before the final ramp, a fall in the middle of the group also involved Milan who fortunately managed to get up and cross the finish line.

Del Toro tries to get ahead of the sprint, Bol arrives at great speed but the Mexican holds on and wins the first stage.
Tiberi closes the podium of the first fraction.
