The Jumbo Visma rider, who consolidates his lead in the general classic, preceded Mikel Landa in a two-man sprint, with whom he made selection along the Asturiana climb, the summit of which was just over 15 km from the finish.

Behind them, regulating the chasing group, Mauro Schmid.
