Rules and suggestions valid for all participants

The Fantacycling 2026 app is officially released!
With this guide   We want to help new players build their own team in the league, but also remind users who have been playing for a few years of basic rules and tips, to go hunting for the Drali bike up for grabs for the winner .

The championship is one of the most complicated modes of Fantacycling, in which, in addition to the   choice of runners , the management of the   budget , the   plus   and the   minus   (this year managed by an algorithm) and the fundamentals   exchanges . The runners to be chosen will be   30   (of which at least 3 under 25) with   500 fantamillions   at your disposal. As for exchanges, you will start with 15 available and you will have one more for each match in which you field the team (it is therefore   It is essential to always deploy your team   before each race) and 3 bonuses every 6 races. In each race you will have to field 9 athletes from the 30 you have in your squad and each of them has certain   scores   based on his prestige:   Here you can find the complete rules   with specific scores. In stage races it is very important to remember to change the   captain   at each fraction to try to get bonus points.

Once you have grasped the basic rules and mechanisms, it is essential to understand how to structure your   starting squad : the first 30 runners must be chosen   before January 17th , the date of the first WT race (only this type of race counts in the championship), the Tour Down Under.

One of our suggestions is to choose some men who participate in the first two races in   Australia , to avoid leaving any points on the road since January; however, they must also keep an eye on   Startlist for the February and early March races : UAE Tour, Omloop, Strade Bianche, and, concurrently, Tirreno-Adriatico and Paris-Nice, the first real watershed of the season. Usually, by mid-January, it's unclear who will participate in these races, but many riders often make statements about their intentions for the start of the season, and it's fair to bet on who will participate in these first races.

There are no fixed rules on how to set up the squad at the beginning of the season: obviously, for budget reasons, you cannot focus only on the top players, so it is very important to buy at least ten   'low budget' names , those semi-unknown riders, worth a few fantasy millions, who can however surprise you during the season and give you unexpected fantasy points.

There is no one-size-fits-all recipe for winning, but if you want some advice from a true expert , here is the interview with Dino , the winner of the 2025 championship.
