Marianne Vos won the first stage of the Tour de France Femmes, from Vannes to Plumelec, 78.8 km.

The Dutch champion crossed the finish line ahead of Kimberley Le Court Pienaar and her teammate Pauline Ferrand Prevot. Vos wears the first yellow jersey of the race.

Worth noting is the retirement after a crash by Marlen Reusser, a podium finisher at the last Giro d'Italia and one of the favorites to win the race. Elisa Longo Borghini lost 52 seconds.
