The World Tour season is coming to an end. Who will succeed Van Eetvelt?

The 2025 Tour of Guangxi is preparing to close the top-level road cycling season in style. From October 14 to 19 , the Guangxi autonomous region in southern China will host the sixth edition of this stage race, part of the UCI WorldTour calendar.

With a total route of approximately 1,019.9 km divided into six stages, the event features a mix of sprinter-friendly sections and challenging climbs that could determine the favorites. The first stage features a circuit with repeated climbs in the final section, suitable for those with good stamina and a fast start. This is followed by the finish in Jingxi with a likely sprint finish. The longest stage is the third, with the final climb about 13 km from the finish that could break up the peloton and provide space for attackers. After the fourth stage, finishing in Jinchengjiang for the sprinters, comes the decisive stage with the finish at the Nongla Scenic Spot , featuring ramps up to 14.8%. Finally, the final circuit in Nanning with the anticipated final sprint.

With the start list still undetermined, we'd like to mention Paul Magnier , Jordi Meeus, Pavel Bittner, and Phil Bauhaus for the sprints. For the general classification, we'll have Jan Christen and Jhonatan Narvaez of UAE, Pello Bilbao of Bahrain, Cian Uijtdebroeks of Visma, Mattias Skjelmose (if he'll be there) of Lidl Trek, and Aurelien Paret Peintre of Decathlon. Good luck to everyone else!
