The young French talent, stage winner at the 2024 Tour, signs a three-year contract with the British team

Young French star Kévin Vauquelin has finally confirmed long-standing rumors: he will be wearing the Team Ineos Grenadiers jersey from 2026, with a three-year contract until 2028.

The 24-year-old rider, currently riding for Arkéa-B&B Hotels, had a remarkable 2024 season, taking a memorable stage victory at the Tour de France with a solo attack towards Bologna during the second stage.

Vauquelin will be the second French rider to join the British team, following the signing of national champion Dorian Godon from Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale. Although the decision was made in April, the young talent chose not to reveal his new team until October, out of respect for his current team.

A 2024 to remember

Vauquelin's recent palmares is truly impressive: in addition to his stage win at the Tour, he took second place at the 2025 Tour de Suisse after a thrilling battle with João Almeida, and finished seventh overall at the Tour de France in his second participation.

His versatility is also confirmed by two consecutive second places at the Flèche Wallonne in 2024 and 2025, as well as second place at the French National Championships.

"In the short term, we'll focus on the week-long stage races, then we'll see what we can do in the Grand Tours," Vauquelin said. "After the results at this year's Tour de Suisse and Tour de France, I feel more relaxed but also more ambitious."

For fantasy cycling fans, this move could represent an interesting opportunity: Vauquelin could see his value increase considerably thanks to the support of a top-tier team like Ineos Grenadiers.
