Mads Pedersen wins the first stage of the Etoile des Besseges ahead of Hugo Hofstetter ( Team Arkea Samsic ) and Edvald Boasson Hagen ( Total Direct Energies ). Great starting point for the Trek-Segafredo rider who in the final tear places a progression of great power and gives no escape to Hofstetter and Boasson Hagen, however good at keeping in the final. Fourth place for a good Alberto Bettiol ( EF ) who proves to be already in good condition for the spring classics. Seventh, on the other hand, was Filippo Ganna ( Team Ineos Grenadiers ) also in evidence in the final race.
