Thibau Nys wins the Dendermone stage of the Cyclo-cross World Cup in Belgium.

The race heats up from lap eight, when Van Aert manages to get back in front. The Belgian tries to take the lead and push, but the circuit doesn't allow him to make much of a difference and no one manages to break away.

In the last two laps the most active was Sweeck , but even he was unable to shake off Nys , Del Grosso and 4 other men, including Van Aert who however appeared to be in difficulty in the last two laps.

A few hundred meters from the finish line, Nys pulls away , and Del Grosso also has to give in. The Lidl Trek rider leads the Dutchman by a few meters. Van Aert even finishes in sixth place, 8 seconds behind.
