Almeida is the only star at the start, we also arrive in Italy

A route full of pitfalls, with very little flat land and an uphill finish with a time trial climb.

Let's talk about the Tour of Switzerland 2025, starting on Sunday 15 June for a week of racing in view of the Tour de France.

The start is in Küssnacht (129.4 km) for a nervous finale. The arrival is slightly uphill, in Scharzsee after 177.1 km, for the second stage with an altitude difference of 2700 meters. Before arriving in Heiden, for the third stage, there are short but numerous climbs. The highlight between the fourth and fifth stages: there is the arrival in Piuro, in Italy, after having climbed the Spluga, while the next day there is more climbing for Julierpass, San Bernardino and the Castaneda wall (4.4 km at 9.8%) to be repeated twice.

The quietest day is the sixth with the finish line in Neuhausen am Rheinfall after 186.7 km and the only opportunity for the few fast wheels present. Explosive finale: next Saturday in Emmetten with Bürgenstock (5.5 km at 7.8%), then the final wall of Emmetten (3.9 km at 8.3%), Sunday the all-uphill time trial of 10.1 km with the finish in Stockhutte.

There is no start list present at the Dauphiné, but since it is a category 3 race, you need to have a competitive team at Fantacycling to earn as many points as possible.

The number one favorite is certainly Joao Almeida who is preparing for the Grand Boucle. With Mattias Skjelmose absent, there is a small group of riders to consider for a top 10: this is the case of Ben O'Connor, Aleksandr Vlasov, Oscar Onley, Jay Vine (if he is confirmed at the start), Neilson Powless, Pello Bilbao, Romain Gregoire, Javier Romo, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Matthew Riccitello, Bart Lemmen, Felix Gall, Ilan Van Wilder and Geraint Thomas.

For stage victories, watch out for Marc Hirschi, Jan Christen, Mauro Schmid, Joseph Blackmore, Ion Izagirre and, if he'll be there, Julian Alaphilippe.

Sprinters? Pavel Bittner, Marius Mayrhofer, Madis Mikhels and Jordi Meeus. But, again, they will have very few opportunities.

Starting lists of many teams not yet confirmed.
