The Frenchman becomes leader of the general classification
Baptiste Veistroffer (Lotto-Intermarché) wins the second stage of the Tour of Oman (2.Pro), from Al Rustaq Fort to Yitti Hills (191.4km).
In the early stages of the race a five-man breakaway broke out, with Veistroffer , Marsman and Goszczurny subsequently managing to break away.
Veistroffer attacked with 12 km to go on the Hamryah climb. The Lotto rider managed to maintain a gap on the main group even in the finale and triumphed alone.
At 17", Mulubrhan leads the peloton in the sprint ahead of Gruel .
Veistroffer is also the new leader of the general classification.
